Shown is the PM Research Replica Mill Engine, a brass beauty available as either a casting kit which requires machining, or as a "mechanics" or a "bolt-together" kit, completely machined engines that need simple fitting and assembly.

Live Steam Model Engines: Live Steam working toy engines are available in many sizes and types, complete with accessories such as generators, and worksop tools. Some of you will remember your father or grandfather having a toy steam engine. Wilesco still produces these fine engines in Germany. Mechanical engineering at it's finest, these are not only for children, but for educators and adults.

Shown is the D-18 Electric Power Plant, a complete working steam engine with a generator and light pole. All Wilesco engines operate on fuel pellets and have safety valves and other safety features.

Internal Combustion Engines: Serious engine kits for the serious model builder, these kits will all require lathe and mill work to complete. Many are 1/4 or 1/3 scale models of early, turn-of-the-century farm engines, and all are operating model engines.

Shown is a 1/4 scale model of the famous Gade farm engine first built in 1912. The model is one of the finest model engine casting kits available to the serious modeler, introduced by Morrison and Martin this year.

Hot Air and Stirling Engines, and Kits: Kit The Stirling Engine has intrigued man for almost 150 years as a simple alternative to the Internal Combustion Engines. Simple heat the engine and it runs. A variety of complete operating model engines are available as well as kits for the more serious model builder.

Shown is the operating model of a Rider Errickson water cooled hot air engine of the 1870's. Full size 600 lb. versions of these engines were used in the 1800's to run machines, pumps, and farm machinery, and were rumored to produce almost 6/10 ths of a Horsepower.
