kits. It has been used as a project by many high school and college metal
shops. This requires a small lathe and a drill press. All castings, hardware,
gaskets, and packing are provided. A 5 inch cast iron flywheel and a drill

double-acting steam engine is very handsome, and is capable of running
a small boat, a generator, or can be an attractive model engine. The engine
has a 3/4 inch bore and a 7/8 inch stroke. Extensive use of bronze castings
and scale nuts and bolts make this an extremely pretty engine. The engine
is 6 1/2 inches tall. and has a base of 3 by 3 1/2 inches.You will need
a small lathe and a drill press to machine the castings from the supplied
full size blue-prints. The weight of the kit is 7 pounds. Item: #1-V10

Oscillating
Steam Engine Kit, completely machined: Beginner engine. This is
your first engine, or an excellent engine for a youth to build. The head
swings back and forth alternately exposing the inlet and exhaust port holes.
All parts are machined so that the engine can be built with simple hand
tools in one evening. Aluminum castings are provided for the cylinder,
flywheel and base. A brass connecting rod and a steel crankshaft are provided.
This engine will run on 20 lbs of steam or compressed air. The unit makes

Stationary Steam Mill Engine Kit, completely machined:
This engine is similar to those used to provide line shaft power to factories
and mills in the 1800's. This engine is a beautiful brass model engine
that comes completely machined and ready to assemble. It includes a 2 1/4
inch flywheel and an overall length of 6 inches. All the gasket material
and hardware are provided. You supply small wrenches, a screwdriver, steel
wool and brass polish. The engine will run on as little as 20 lbs of air
or steam pressure. The engine is double-acting, and has a 1/2 inch bore

Vertical Steam Boiler Kit: This boiler kit
will run most model steam engines up to 3/4 inch bore. It is intended for
light duty demonstration purposes, but is a well engineered fire tube boiler
using copper tubes and a copper pressure vessel. Four (4) castings are
provided for the base, door, door frame and top. Tube sheets are flanged
and punched. All hardware, bar stock, silver solder, and complete drawings
are provided. A water level sight gage, and a pressure relief safety valve
are provided. The boiler is 12 5/8 inches tall, 3 inches in diameter, and
has a 4 inch stack.The fire box is 3 inches in diameter by 2 1/2 inches
high. The boiler has 13 fire tubes, and has a total heating surface of
approximately 20 sq. inches. Dry fuel tablets are recommended although
other heat sources may be suitable. A small lathe and drill press will
